Our Approach To Video

There are many subjective variables that make a good video, so it’s important to select a media firm that’s a good match for you.  Before hiring PreviewFirst to produce a video, see our previous work and let us know what you like or don’t like, and what you want to accomplish with yours.  Tell us what’s important to you.  If you have a large estate, or special requests, please be sure to discuss those before appointment day – so we can schedule enough time and make sure we don’t miss anything.  Here’s a gallery with a handful of samples.  https://vimeo.com/previewfirst

Our approach to video:  It’s important to understand the purpose of video compared to other media.  Video is meant to entertain, inspire and celebrate a home; to keep the viewers attention, drawing them in so they watch it again and again. Video SHOULD NOT attempt to do the job of photos and 3-D Tours, which are informational vs. entertaining.  Photos allow a potential buyer to ponder and imagine themselves in the space.  3-D Tours are an immersive experience that reveal a homes floor plan.

Ideally, videos should be about 1-2 minutes in length. Shorter videos get more views and more complete views. Videos showcase primary living spaces only, amenities and style details.  To captivate and engage your audience, clips are typically 2 to 4 seconds long and synchronized with musical elements.  The ultimate goal of video is to attract attention to your listing, impress your sellers, and slam-dunk your listing presentations.
