What is your cancellation policy?

Late cancellations and reschedule fees.  When you order photography services, you are reserving a valuable time slot so that it will not be available to someone else.  If you are not able to keep the appointment for any reason, please contact PreviewFirst.com at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. CaCancellation and rescheduling fees automatically apply to photography orders that are canceled inside of twenty four hours.

While everyone understands the purpose of such fees, and agrees to the terms of service, nobody likes paying them.  Who would?   As the President of PreviewFirst, my personality type is a little obsessive about customer happiness…  so fees like this just don’t sit right with me.  That’s why we do everything we can to avoid having to charge them.  We only want our customers to think warm and fuzzy thoughts about us.  🙂  But we do have to pay our photographers when we reserve their time.

To avoid misunderstandings, and bad feelings… we do everything we can to make sure everybody is on the same page.  The policy is stated in the terms and conditions and the FAQ’s, and is included with the appointment confirmation email (in bold and red).

What about Grace?

Grace.  We all need it.  So, while the policy says 24 hours… it’s actually “same day”.  Meaning, that if you cancel the day before, or even the night before… or even contact us via phone or email before we open in the the morning, we can waive the fee before our system knows to charge your card.  We simply ask for 24 hours notice so that we might have a chance to fill the reserved time with another appointment.

Terms and Conditions: Cancellation and/or Reschedule fees.

  1. Client agrees to pay an automatic rescheduling fee for any orders rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance, as follows: COMPREHENSIVE PHOTOGRAPHY $25 – TWILIGHT & LUXURY PHOTOGRAPHY $175.
  2. Client agrees to pay an automatic cancellation fee for any cancellations not made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled photoshoot, as follows: STANDARD PHOTOGRAPHY $50 – TWILIGHT & LUXURY PHOTOGRAPHY $175.
  3. In the event that nobody shows up at the property to assist the photographer with access, photographer will wait 15 minutes, before leaving. Client agrees to pay an automatic cancellation fee for any missed appointments.
  4. Client agrees to notify Company if Client is running late. Whenever possible, photographer will wait at the property until Client arrives. Client understands that photographer may have another appointment immediately following and may not be able to wait or complete the photoshoot. If Client chooses to reschedule photoshoot, the reschedule fees are areas follows: STANDARD PHOTOGRAPHY $25 – TWILIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY $150.
  5. Client agrees to provide Company with all necessary contact information, so that in the event the photographer is lost or otherwise late, Company or Photographer can contact client.
