A subtle but major difference

Do you see the difference between these two photos?

The difference between these two photos is about one foot; a subtle but major difference.  The top photo was taken at about 5 feet off the ground and the bottom photo at about 4 feet.  The difference that one foot makes is how much of the ceiling is emphasized.  Most ceilings are about 10 feet high for which a photo taken at 5 feet off the floor is perfect.  But as you can see, the lower the ceilings, the more they are accentuated.  And in large volume rooms, the ceilings are especially noticeable.  So, when you have lower ceilings, you must lower the camera to provide a more natural perspective.

Hope that helps.
